What’s New Video
For your convenience, we have included a video of all the latest features of Passware Kit 2026 v2. Take a look!
We are proud to make BitLocker decryption faster and easier than ever! Passware introduces a new method that can decrypt TPM-protected BitLocker devices in just minutes using a single USB drive. This approach is more versatile and supports a wider range of devices, compared to previous Passware Kit methods.

Passware also enhances password recovery capabilities for LastPass extensions, Steganos vaults, and FileMaker databases by supporting newer versions and additional protection types.
For select items with strong encryption, Passware Kit now includes an option to cache previously tested passwords. This eliminates redundant checks and significantly improves overall password recovery performance.
New BitLocker decryption method for TPM-protected devices
Passware introduces a new method that can decrypt TPM-protected BitLocker devices in just minutes by acquiring the VMK using data stored in the TPM chip.
Compared to previous Passware Kit methods, this approach offers broader compatibility across devices and does not require a network adapter, making it faster and simpler to deploy in the field.

Password recovery for Steganos Data Safe v.22.5 vaults
Passware Kit 2026 v2 supports Steganos Data Safe versions 19 through 22.5, including vaults protected with two-factor authentication and other advanced security options. It now supports the new .SHEADER file type and File-Based encryption.
If an Emergency password or TOTP Secret Key is set in Steganos, the chances of successfully unlocking the vault are significantly increased, as GPU acceleration can be applied in these processes. Master passwords set without any additional options are limited to CPU-based recovery.
For example, recovery speeds can reach 1,865,000 passwords per second for a Master password with a known TOTP Secret Key, compared to approximately 1.2 passwords per second on an Intel Core i7 CPU for a regular Master Password.
Password recovery for LastPass IndexedDB storage for Chromium-based browsers
Passware Kit enhances password recovery and data extraction from the LastPass browser extension in Chromium-based browsers by adding support for the IndexedDB storage system and multiple accounts.
Recovery speeds can reach as high as 6,900 passwords per second on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Option to cache tried passwords for faster password recovery
For select items with strong encryption, Passware Kit now includes an option to cache previously tested passwords. This eliminates redundant checks and improves overall password recovery performance.
The option to cache passwords is available for APFS, VeraCrypt, and LUKS2 images, as well as Ethereum wallets.
Instant decryption of FileMaker 2025 databases
Passware Kit 2026 v2 can now instantly unlock all versions of FileMaker databases, including the latest 2025 release.
