Passware Kit 2019 v2 extracts passwords and other data from macOS iCloud keychains, decrypts VeraCrypt volumes for Linux, and supports an additional LUKS encryption type.
The new Passware Kit allows users to create a snapshot of a password recovery process at any time, so that it can be resumed later or transferred to a different computer or cluster.
It also introduces a new Password Managers section, which provides password recovery options for KeePass, 1Password, and LastPass databases, with subsequent extraction of their records.
We have also updated support for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud and released a new version of Passware Kit Agent for Amazon EC2.
What’s New
Extraction of iCloud keychain records
Passware Kit analyzes iCloud Keychain folder from macOS and extracts all the records, including passwords and binary data. All these records are exported to a file.
Export and import of password recovery state
Passware Kit can now create a snapshot of a password recovery process at any time, so that it can be resumed later or transferred to a different computer or cluster.
Click “Save job” after stopping a password recovery process.
Password recovery for LastPass databases
Passware Kit adds support for LastPass password manager by recovering its master password at a speed of 26,800 passwords/sec on a single GPU. After the master password is recovered, the software extracts all the database records, displays the passwords found, and saves the results to a file.
Passwords extraction from 1Password databases
In addition to the 1Password master password recovery announced previously, Passware Kit now extracts the contained passwords and other records and exports the results to a file. Both Windows and Mac versions of 1Password are supported.
Instant decryption of VeraCrypt volumes for Linux
Passware Kit 2019 v2 decrypts volumes from both Linux and Windows versions of VeraCrypt. Decryption is performed in minutes via live memory analysis.
Password recovery for LUKS: support for an additional encryption type
Passware Kit adds support for LUKS AES-XTS-Plain/Plain64 encryption with SHA512 hash.
Improved support for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud
A new version of Passware Kit Agent for Amazon EC2 is now available, providing a highly scalable cloud computing acceleration for distributed password recovery.
