The Device Decryption Add-on has been enhanced with a new decryption option for BitLocker-encrypted Lenovo ThinkPads with TPM 2.0. This tool acquires and displays the Volume Master Key, allowing users to decrypt the volume and retrieve the Recovery key.
Passware Kit 2024 v4 is fully compatible with the latest macOS Sequoia, offering T2 unlock, APFS decryption, Keychain password recovery, and other features. It also recovers passwords for Hancom Office files, including Hanword, Hancell, and Hanshow.

GPU-accelerated password recovery for Hancom Office
Passware Kit 2024 v4 recovers passwords for the Hancom Office Suite, including Hanword, Hancell, and Hanshow files. The recovery speed for Hanword files can reach up to 4M passwords per second on an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU. GPU acceleration is supported for Hancell and Hanshow files, achieving speeds of up to 350,000 passwords per second on an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti for version 2010.
GPU-accelerated password recovery for APFS hashes
APFS decryption has been enhanced to support APFS hash files extracted by third-party tools like John the Ripper. Save the hash as a text file or use a hashcat file to begin password recovery using Passware Kit. The recovery process is the same as for BitLocker hashes.
Display of password hints during encryption detection and decryption
Passware Kit 2024 v4 features an additional “Hint” column in its interface, displaying password hints for various file types during encryption scanning and batch password recovery processes. These hints can be useful for adjusting the settings to improve decryption efficiency.
Password hints are displayed for: Apple Notes and iWork files, macOS and FileVault2 accounts, APFS disk images, Western Digital digest files, and SanDisk vaults.
Usability improvements
Passware Kit has improved batch password recovery by enhancing the usability of the Timeout option and allowing CSV report saving when files are skipped. The attack editor has also been streamlined with automated scrolling and other usability features.
