Passware Kit new features & updates

We announced a Beta version of Passware Kit Forensic for Mac in 2020. Thanks to the feedback we received from our beta testers, we were able to resolve stability, performance, and compatibility issues. Now, we are proud to announce the release version of the Passware Kit Forensic for Mac!

Dell Data Protection and Dell Encryption software used to be an obstacle for computer forensics because the encrypted data was inaccessible while processing an image of encrypted drives. We are happy to announce that Passware Kit is the first software to recover passwords for Dell recovery files and decrypt data from disks encrypted with Dell Data Protection and Dell Encryption software provided that a Dell recovery file is available.

Memory analysis is an essential method of electronic evidence discovery. It allows computer forensics to decrypt hard disks and files and extract encryption keys and passwords. We are proud to introduce Passware Bootable Memory Imager – a new UEFI compatible tool that acquires memory images of Windows, Linux, and Mac computers.

The brute-force approach is the most time-consuming password recovery method. We are proud to share that we have introduced Mask attack that significantly reduces the time spent on password recovery by skipping unnecessary character combinations.

VeraCrypt and TrueCrypt continue to be two of the most complex types of encryption to bypass. Both tools provide an option to use keyfiles for encrypting volumes.
